A word to Paris

I'm nearing the end of my time here. This Saturday I will be leaving. Though I will be back in only a few short weeks this departure will mark the end of something very big. I will not come back to the same Paris... This coming Saturday when I buckle into my seat and the wheels of the airplane ascend from the tarmac at Charles De Gaulle international airport I will then enter my liminal period. Hence forth when I return again I will no longer be in the heated mindset of the life I've been living for the last 3 years. That life is now coming to a close. There are some words that I'd like to say. These words are for you Paris.
You've been the center of my greatest failures and successes, the mode of my greatest frustrations and exultations, the cause of my greatest barriers and openings, and witness to my greatest happiness and heartbreak. Boy it's sure been a wild ride. You've given me more than I bargained for... I feel nothing but thankful. Thank you for kicking me when I needed it, coddling me when I wanted it, entertaining me when I least expected it, and confirming to me when I most felt it. I guess what I really want to say is: Thank you Paris, I will never forget you.
